Specialising in Health and Safety, Regulatory Law, and Professional Disciplinary matters. Ros qualified in 1993 having studied Law at Manchester University. She regularly appears not only on the Northern Circuit, but in Courts and Tribunals nationwide and in Northern Ireland, where she is fully qualified.
Ros has a background in criminal law; appointed as a Grade 4 Prosecutor and Rape Panel Member, she is an experienced advocacy and contested hearings barrister. From 2010 - 2018 she acted as a Legal Assessor to the Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service, advising Tribunals considering misconduct, performance and fitness to practise issues regarding Doctors. Ros has now relinquished this role, and has concentrated on defending Doctors who appear before their regulatory body. As a specialist Regulatory lawyer, Ros is also a List B Advocate in Health and Safety and Environmental Law and she frequently prosecutes and defends in cases involving the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency and Local Authorities.
